Teaching Methods

Small Classes
Students are placed in small classes. Students receive frequent one-on-one interactive time with teachers.

Small Bytes
Each individual skill is broken down into the smallest possible component or “byte” of information. We directly teach each skill.

Systematically
Each fact is taught incrementally, step-by-step. This structured environment provides students with the consistency they need for academic success.
Taught to Mastery
We test students frequently and re-teach any skill not mastered.

What is the Orton-Gillingham
Method of Teaching?

The phrase "Orton Gillingham approach" refers to the structured, sequential, multi-sensory techniques established by Dr. Orton and Ms. Gillingham and their colleagues beginning in the mid 1920's. This method of multi sensory teaching makes consistent links between the visual, auditory, and kinesthetic-tactile pathways in learning to read and spell.

Research has shown it to be an effective teaching method for all students, but most especially for those with dyslexia, or reading difficulties. More Info..
